Shanghai Tide

My boyfriend and I trekked over last night for a late dinner after seeing the League Of Gentlemen (yay!) at the Westbeth. I've been meaning to go since it opened as Shanghai Tang a while ago, and now I'm kind of kicking myself for letting it go so long! Crab and pork soup dumplings were very good, although the skin was a bit thick for my taste. No bursting problems, though.
Shanghai sauteed greens were fantastic - very flavorful baby bok choy with subtle garlic spicing. Salt and pepper shrimp could have been a tad crisper, but they still had a great crunch and tasted quite fresh. We also got the braised pork shoulder, which rocked. Crisp, glossy skin, glistening layer of fat, tender meat...I'll stop before I get way too food porn. All in all, a great meal and a place I'll definitely visit again.
