Shanghai Park

we went here after our aborted dinner at Old Man Rafferty;s (see other post).
very nice, we ordered too much after having eaten salad and soup at our aborted dinner at OMR.
only Asian people in the place which was a good sign.
Very quiet on a monday nite.

Hot and sour soup - very good, nothing spectacular.
Sauteed String Beans - very good but a tad salty
Lions Head meatball casserole - good but very sweet - and heavily flavored with Star Anise - something you can only eat so much of. Four HUGE meatballs - enough to split with 8 people !!!
Egg Foo Young - also somewhat too sweet and salty but good. My companion was craving this "cliche" dish.

Overall, the menu is exciting especially the Shanghai section.

Definitely have to try it again when we're in a better mood.
