Used to go there almost every week about 6-7 months ago, but alas, after a vacation I dropped in and it seems things have changed... Figuring it was just the chef's night off, I went again today (Sunday) for lunch and to my dismay, it's completely different.
Asked the waiter, and well, the chef has changed. Whilst previously the food was a little 'fattier' than most would be used to, it's now very lean to the point that it's almost tasteless. The San Jing Bao was also the same.. while the Xiao Long Bao (xlb) was ok.. but definitely not as good as it was before.
Anyone know where else to get similar 'dan dan noodles'? Peanut based, red oil/spicy, decent amounts of fat...
Even better, anyone know where the previous chef has gone?
I've tried San Tung's (Irving) version ( so so...) but haven't known anywhere else that does it.
