aka shanghai east, this is their new location (formerly family china bistro, near mcdonald's)
very popular on weekend mornings for the northern dim sum, packed!
bites and slurps:
-xlb(10/6.50) on the small side, some juice, meat dry on inside. does ring on top of xlb indicate xlb is commercially made? seen this also at the ark (alameda) and ming zhu?(s.f.) not recommended
-beef tendon soup(7.50), broth mostly soy, star anise, msg, and salt, no beef taste. noodles commercial, not hand pulled. gai lon and tendons ok.
extensive menu, entrees seem pricier than other shanghai eateries.
