I moved back to NY and love it, but there is one area relating to food in which SF has NY beat hands down. Pakistani Tandoorloin hole in the walls! Please help direct me to a no-nonsense Pakistani Tandoor hut where the chicken is charred and pulled off the skewers with a red-stained towel and the nan comes to the table blistering and steaming hot. 1$ nans, 2$ rice, 3$ for a chicken leg or $3.50 for the breast. Curries that melt your mouth out with creamy eggplant, succulent tandoor-charred lamb chops for nights you are really splurging and a pump pitcher of good chai to cool off your mouth when it's all done.
Please help me, I need this. I will possibly send you a reward if it's as good as Shalimar. If there isn't one, I am ready to build one, seriously, I would gladly invest in such a restaurant.
