Shabbos oven

yitweib | Oct 4, 201608:42 PM     3

We have a GE Star K certified oven and this yom tov again we had issues with the 12 hour shutdown. I am pretty sure we set it correctly - first disabling the 12 hour shutdown and then setting it on shabbos mode - but low and behold the oven shut down even before 12 hours. Our rav told us we can have a goy restart it ( via the shabbos mode function) and then it continued staying on for the rest of the Chag well over 12 hours. 3 other people on my block had similar issue. I don't feel like calling GE again because their technicians are really clueless when it comes to Shabbos mode functions. Anyone have any suggestions?
