Eleven hounds met for the 14th San Francisco Chinatown Chowdown Lunch Series at Henry's Hunan (the 674 Sacramento St. location).

I over-ordered:

Onion Pancakes
Dumplings
Diana's Special Meat Pies
Chicken Salad
Harvest Pork
Smoked Ham
Dry Sauteed Sting Beans
Henry's Special (mixed seafood)
Kung Pao Shrimp
Country-Style Vegetables
A tofu dish (not sure which one, but one with no meat)
Hot and Spicy Fish Fillet (daily special)

Even though I tried very hard to order dishes that sounded like different preparations, there was a certain sameness to several of them. Invidually I liked most of the dishes, but collectively the flavors palled.

I think my favorites were the Henry's Special and the two veggie dishes. The smoked ham tasted good, but was so intense that a few bites was enough. Actually, I think my favorite thing was the rich, smooth Cabernet Franc Joel brought, which went surprisingly well with the food.

The menu at the Sacramento St. location is not the same as either the Sansome or the Natoma locations, which may have more/different options.
