SF Visitor Tip Sheet - v 0.5

Stanley Stephan | Feb 26, 2003 02:02 AM

Thanks for the suggestions which I added. If it's not in the tip sheet on mentioned in this post I just may have missed it. Mention it again please.

Vegetarian, Indian, Chinese and Dim Sum still looking kind of puny. Any addtions. Didn't have time to follow the threads.

Celeste offered to organize by neighborhood, so until we get to version 1.0, that's a pending issue.

I did cut Lulu as I hear they have a new chef and I haven’t heard any recent reports.

Rather than add a Wine section, I added it as a category (WB) to avoid having places listed in two places. This may seem inconsistent since there is a section on Beer. However, most of the restaurants with big wine bars are restaurants on their own. Most of the brew pubs really have pub grub and are more worthy to go for the drink rather than the eats. Or am I wrong?

The tips at the end mention Patricia Unterman and the Examiner. I'm going to wait until Friday to see what's going on there.

Korean, need more suggestions. Could not find Brother’s

Pancho Villia Tacqueria had dueling suggestions - add or skip?

Pesce - no positive reviews on the board.

Couldn’t find Vanessi's. Are they still open?

I didn't find any Chowhound posts on the Washington Square Bar and Grill, so I didn't add it.

I'm still up in the air about how to describe some of the neighborhoods in terms for tourists. (I still get confused on some of them). Suggestions for refining welcome.

Will give this another week for more suggestions. Here's the actual updated sheet.
