SF hound finds fine Southern breakfast in Tacoma

At the Southern Kitchen, three of us ordered and enjoyed catfish and eggs and butterfish and eggs. Everyone was impressed by the crisp batter and the perfectly done fish, often difficult when you're the first customer of the morning. But the hidden star was the butter, evident in the generous dishes of grits and embedded in the fresh buttermilk biscuits. The coffee was OK and, quibbling, I'm not a fan of packaged cream, but the meal left the three of us (including a pair of feral teenagers) fat and happy for $13/head.
