Many thanks to the Yimster for the walk down memory lane with sips of transcendent teas of the Dragon Pearl and roses from his journey to Vancouver, BC. Forget that Hansel and Gretel bread crumb walk through the forest, we feasted on flounder, deep-fried squid, crisp-fried smelt heavy with eggs, and my favorite on the table—the jelly fish that was tender-soft on a bed of orange slices, shredded lettuce and force meat that may be the Chinese headcheese? and much, much more; shiitake mushrooms and bok choy or was it mustard greens?, beef with gai lan, peking style pork, ginger and scallion crab, etc. Lay the table and we will come.
The perfect finish was Derek’s bonus box of dan tats from Golden Gate Pastry on Grant. Thank you, thank you. Now, we return to reality. —no, wait a minute, we need a video cam to post these reality eats online! where’s an indie film maker when you really need one?
