**** SF Chinatown Chowdown Lunch Series #1 -- March 12, Noon ****

nja | Mar 8, 200408:05 PM

Tired of eating sandwiches at your desk during work?

Bored being dragged by coworkers to Baja Fresh and Quiznos?

Wish you could try some of the best food San Francisco has to offer, with people that are as passionate about food as you?

Then join me for the SF Chinatown Chowdown Lunch Series!

All hounds are invited to join the first of what will hopefully become an ongoing series of weekday lunch chowdowns in SF Chinatown. Each week we'll try a new restaurant, focusing primarily but not exclusively on Chinese cuisines.

Prior to the meal, the exact location of each SFCCLS will be revealed only to the confirmed participants. This week, we'll be visiting a humble Chinese restaurant in the heart of SF Chinatown that had been lauded in the past for several specialties, but has not been talked about for some time. The meal will contain various seafood and likely several other meats. Cost for food will be approximately $15 per person.

Participants must *arrive* at the restaurant no later than 12:00 noon. For walking time approximation, assume the corner of Stockton and Clay.

All types of hounds are welcome: veteran chowdowners or newcomers; experts in Chinese cuisines or those just starting to discover them. Space is limited so please RVSP quickly to to reserve your spot!
