i have spent hours pouring over the responses in the "2007 top 10" thread and i realize that many many of the items are Chinese. Now, Chinese is just not Boston's strong suit.
Depending upon the region represented, in boston you usually find the same menu items
repeated. It's a very limited pool. So I'm thinking that maybe we should schedule a chinese dinner for one of the 4 dinners of our annual SF visit later this week.(we will do lunch at Burma Superstar and dim sum at Yank Sing and , and short of the greatest Kaiseki experience, I would prefer chinese to the other asian cuisines.)
Now, I am not a CH slacker; I do the research. But plse realize that there are a KABILLION posts re chinese dishes/restnts on the SF board. So, here's the question, do you think China Village in Albany is the best chinese place to try for a dinner? I confess to being szechuan-prone for the choice(though i have recently become enamoured of some unusual smoked pork and smoked duck dishes at the Taiwanese restnt,Mulan, in Boston.).I have read a few of the threads about CV and the Ch chowdown there(amazing!!)
You may think this question unanswerable but I do appreciate your thoughts/advice.
