Once more current events have dissuaded my partner from proceeding with our planned travel; we were set to take a week split between Sevilla and Madrid. Question: As I single woman (would like to hear from others of that ilk, especially) can I fully enjoy/feel comfortable chowhounding alone in those cities..especially eager to hear reports of Seville, where I have not been in many years.....will I be comfortable walking the streets alone at night, etc. And finally and perhaps most important, will welcome any recommendations of tapas bars and moderately priced (no Michelin stars or dress up) restaurants in both cities. In Seville have reservations at Casas de las Mercaderes; in Madrid will be near Plaza Mayor..I believe the hotel is called Plaza Mayor..... I am fairly intrepid and speak Spanish fluently, not scared too easily although want to be prudent.....Better to go it alone or postpone to await partner???? Muchisimas gracias...!!!
