Severe Food Allergies and travel [moved from France board]

My husband has an unusual, but life-threatening allergy to Mustard. I found this website where you can order CUSTOM food allergy cards to carry with you on trips. You just provide them with the allergic subtance and the language you would like for the translation.

www.SelectWisely.com

The cards arrived yesterday and they are terrific! Two heavily laminated cards say "I have a life-threatening allergy to mustard" and "Does this food contain mustard?" in French and English. A third card states "I need medical help, please call a doctor!" on one side and "Please take me to the hospital" on the other.

Traveling with a food allergy can be tricky, hopefully this will make it somewhat safer for my husband and anyone else who orders the cards.

***Any further tips on names of French foods or sauces to avoid that are traditionally prepared with mustard? Naturally we are careful to ask each and every time he orders a dish but forewarned is forearmed, I would say.
