Had a great meal at Picholine last night - although the room smells a bit musty and could use an update - a few things stuck out.
First - the menu is very accomodating - they have 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. course options in addition to the chef's tasting. They were more than willing to make changes and it was refreshing to have them be so nice. The food, especially the risotto and waygu beef was fabulous and I was pleasantly surprised.
But the real standout was our waiter, David. We had asked to have the names of our wines written down for us, he said no problem, but then we were rushing to leave to make the theatre and forgot about it.
Left the theatre to find a message on the cell phone apologizing and giving us all the wine info we needed. He really went out of his way and it was very appreciated.
