Seoul Gom Tang -- Oakland

i was craving some good korean soup and decided to try this place for the first time

they have the usual korean soups, ox tail soup, cow knee soup, etc and some other non soup items as well

i decided to play it safe and get the oxtail soup

it looked promising when it came out, milky white and hot, but the taste had much to be desired, even after i added the salt and green onions -- the broth was just ok

in addition, the oxtail meat was hard and rubbery, instead of tender and smooth the way it should be, i suspect that the oxtail meat were cooked separately and thrown in the broth

so all in all, just an average to below average experience
