Selling my Mauviel

morgancarrie | Sep 2, 201712:56 PM     14

Does anyone else find Mauviel's 250b copper pans impossible to pour? I bought a gorgeous 9-piece set for myself at Christmas, and find myself now selling it on Facebook because every time I try to use a saucepan, I simply can't keep a good grip on the handle when I go to pour.

Perhaps it's my arthritis, but every time the handle slips around in my grasp so the heavy pot plus liquid stays upright instead of tilting as needed. I just can't tilt it safely unless I awkwardly try to use a second hand on the pot (not the handle). I've tried different pot holders, mitts, two hands on the handle, everything.

Purchasing this was a regretful, very expensive mistake!

It is impressive how it holds heat, though, and how low the burner can be to get the same results as stainless cookware at higher temperatures. They're just stunningly gorgeous, too. I hate to sell them, but need cookware I can easily use.
