Seeking Yakitori

cravingcoppa | Sep 11, 2008 06:29 PM

About a week ago I returned from three months of living in Tokyo. Turns out a week is how long it takes to really start jonesing for some grilled chicken parts. My standards are high, and I'm afraid that I'm going to be that jerk that other people overhear talking about how much better it is in Tokyo. Please help me! Is there any really good yakitori in LA?

Looks like Yakitori Bincho is the consensus on Chowhound... but it also look's like they're closed.

I actually live right by the Santa Monica Blvd-to-Olympic stretch of Sawtelle, so it would be great to go someplace around there. By reading this board and talking to people, sounds like the best options are Yakitoriya and Nanbankan. Anyone have a preference among those two? Any place better that I'm missing?
