I'm having a dinner party this Sat.
I'm serving a chilled corn soup garnished with crab and avocado.
Also thinking about some sort of mushroom phyllo packet thingys.
My friend is making a cherimoya ice cream and I'm also serving petite creme brulee with coffee at the end.
I want to serve duck as my entree, maybe with a port reduction sauce or maybe some sort of fruit compote. But I'm totally blanking on the sides for this duck.
I kinda like the idea of baby roasted vegetables, but I'm not sure that'll go well. Maybe it needs a starch, but I don't want mashed potato. What about polenta?
