Hello Montreal Chowhounders- you've never let me down!
My elderly, yet hip mum is taking out the McGill daughter and her roomies in a few weeks and is looking for advice for a Saturday night dinner. She'd like"'somewhere nice and quiet". What that means is she'd love to be able to engage in conversation with the young people without competing with huge crowds, music etc, and have a tasty, grown up meal. All types of cuisine are fine- she really is adventurous, as are the students. I'm thinking that she find a BYOW restaurant as the kids drink more wine than she might like to pay for! Mains should be within the 20-25$ mark. They'll use public transit, she has a car. All ideas gratefully accepted!
