We are planning a trip from North Bay SF to Paso area for wine tasting outside our usual neighborhood. I have been reading previous 'Hounds postings on dining in Paso and have gotten a few questions, since in proper Chowhounds fashion there seems to be disagreement on some of these places. Here are a few questions...
First, we will have two nights in town. Of the following which would be your recommendation for quality of food? (A note on why would help, too.)
Hounds have also recommended Panolivio for breakfast and 4 Hermanos looks like a good place for lunch (or maybe dinner, if we feel so inclined). Comments on these?
We will be tasting wines on the west side, with Tablas Creek as our ultimate destination. Any lunch places in them thar hills? Any other wineries besides Justin and Turley that are in that part of the area?
TIA, and I will post a report when I get home.
