seeking the impossible

Hi everyone,

My husband and I used to enjoy eating out enormously, and did so frequently. However, since delivering my second child seven months ago, we have been struggling to find a place that caters to those with food allergies.

I am intolerant of wheat, but have learned to work around this over the last couple of years. However, my nursing baby is extremely sensitive to soy and dairy, which has made finding a suitable entree a Herculean task.

One place we HAVE found is Solea, the new tapas bar on Moody Street in Waltham. This is a wonderful place -- I went there with a couple of girlfriends, one of whom keeps kosher (more or less) and we all found lots of stuff we could eat.

However, my husband and I and two other couples who are very old friends ALL managed to get babysitters for Saturday (an amazing occurence, for those of you who aren't parents) and it turns out Solea is closed on that night.

Any other suggestions for places to dine? For example, are there any Japanese restaurants in the area which actually use rice instead of wheat flour? (Although the soy is difficult to avoid in Asian restaurants...) Or places with amazing salad bars? Or places which serve all natural meats?

A long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try.
