We're staying in Geyserville for five nights next week. I've gone ahead and booked what I think would be a dreamy series of tables at Santi (Geyserville), Zin (Healdsburg), Willis Seafood and Raw Bar (Healdsburg), Cyrus (Healdsburg), and Cafe la Haye (Sonoma). However, there's a chance I might not be able to do white tablecloths, candlelight, and long recitations of overcomplicated appetizers five nights in a row, both because the money might run out and because a chowhound needs to have a slightly more earthy experience now and again.
So that's the long preamble, here's the question: can anyone recommend some casual, funky, inexpensive, utterly delicious chow in wine country (anywhere in Geyserville, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Napa)?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Also, if any of the five restaurants I've booked are stinkers, let me know!
