Seeking buying advice on vintage copper pots

RhoneAlpes | Dec 1, 201702:31 AM

Hi everyone, a chalet here in the French Alps is selling a set of 5 "antique" pots, each 3mm thick, 20cm, 18cm, 16cm, 14cm, and 12cm diameter. They are well used but appear to be reasonably cared for. The seller has mentioned that the tin lining has worn off of some of the more heavily used pots. There's no indication of the manufacturer or other identifying marks (that I can see anyway). Asking price is €250 for the set.

Questions: are these pots a good value? I assume the worn ones will require re-tinning. Any guesses as to age and perhaps the manufacturer? I've never owned copper cookware but would love to cook with it.

Many thanks!
