We just returned from a weekend up the coast dining at some of our usual stops. This time we were turned on to The Seaweed Cafe and what a treat it was. It's a small dining room in a very unassuming mall just north of town. Do make reservations. The wine list is small but very good. Since it was a birthday weekend, we treated ourselves to a bottle of Merry Edwards Pinot Noir (Meredith Vineyards). WOW!!
We shared a pureed English pea soup(Vegan based)which was great. One of us had the special hanger steak which was very good but the salmon cooked in a cedar box was the better entree. We were full so opted out of dessert.
The place has a very nice feel. Service was a bit slow but it really did not matter. The staff seemed to be light hearted about it all which added to the charm of the place.
They do have a website so check it out.
