Seattle- The BEST Gelato I have EVER had! (Plus a few more reviews)

I just got back from a week in Seattle ... I have to say that Gelatiamo has the BEST gelato I have ever tasted! I thought Mondo Gelato in Vancouver was good ... This just blows them out of the water and then some! I can't imagine gelato tasting better than this anywhere! (I should also mention that I tried Bottega Italiana - but I couldn't go past a sample. It just wasn't as good. (Not even close) I also brought some of the cookies and biscotti back as gifts, and they have been getting high marks as well. I am going to miss this place!!

Some other places I ate at that I really enjoyed were:

Salumi - YUM! Yes, I do think it is worth the hype. Maybe it has gotten a lot of press and people may think that equals "touristy", but I disagree. They offer a superior product! (and I love the "family business" atmosphere) Prices are very reasonable too.

Uli's Sausage (Pike Mrkt) - I don't know what I had. I was standing there trying to decide when a satisfied customer came back waving his sausage and praising it - so I had what he had! I know it was German - and it was GOOD! REALLY GOOD ... the fries were just as good. I love getting fries "European style" (crispy on the outside, soft inside and served with mayo ... whatever that seasoning was, it really added to it. Mmmmmm!!

Coastal Kitchen - Great food! Really Good ... but the staff made me feel a little nervouse. I don't know why. They weren't rude ... maybe just a little cold ... I don't know. Can't put my finger on it ... but the food is worth it! Especially the Yo-Yos for dessert! Holy Moly!!

Pike Place Chowder ... WooHoo that seafood bisque!

I had a few misses - Kingfish Cafe was one - I REALLY thought it was going to be good. Pork chop looked amazing but it was dry so (for almost $20) it had to go back. She whisked my plate away before I realized 3/4 of a corn muffin (addition cost (!) was on it and I never got a new one or got my money back (my fault for not speaking up) Anyway, I got the fried chicken as a replacement and I was NOT IMPRESSED! 3 TINY pieces of NOT CRISPY chicken for $16 ... People are happy paying that? I would have happily paid isf it was good (and more filling) ... but GEESH! NOT WORTH IT! I walked out feeling cheated
