I'm going to be traveling to Puerto Rico (near San Juan) in mid-March, and we're going to cook a meal or two. Availability and local advice will guide what we cook (and eat out), but I'd still like to set aside a few recipes to prepare for the trip.
Are there any local and seasonal items (fruits, vegetables, seafood, etc.) that I should start thinking about? I'm mainly looking for things that I wouldn't easily find in Northern California.
