Karl's Sausage on Route 1 North in Saugus (or Lynnfield) used to stock this bread - it's a dense sourdough rye with a dark, thick crust, sold in half or quarter rounds. The whole loaves must be really hefty.
Karl's seems to not stock it around the holidays for the past few years...does anyone know the name of the bakery? According to the label, the bread was baked in Brockton.
