Searching for Korean Stew

I was a graduate student at Columbia from 1969-1973, and I used to eat at a restaurant on Broadway near LaSalle several times a week. The restaurant was called (I think) Tempura, and it was billed as Japanese. I realize now, however, that the owners were Korean. Can anyone help me locate a recipe for a spicy beef, cabbage, clam, fishcake stew that was served there? Many thanks, Janet Hadda
