In search of crispy Chile Rellenos

Last month my husband and I took a weekend trip to Santa Barbara and ate at a restaurant called east of Albuquerque. I had the most amazing Chile Rellenos there. They weren’t battered but instead rolled in crushed tortilla chips and either baked or lightly fried.

I’m absolutely obsessed with finding a similar meal closer to home. I live in Sherman Oaks but will travel. When the rain stops I’m taking my daughter to the Santa Barbara Zoo… I really don’t care about looking at monkeys; I just want to get my Chile Rellenos.

Any suggestions where I can find this?
