I have been coming to Seagrass restaurant on Main Street in Ocean Grove for the past 10 years. They never, ever disappointed and the food, from appetizer to dessert, is always spectacular. I had to take a short hiatus from Seagrass while my spouse's health unfortunately deteriorated and he ultimately passed. It was always our favorite restaurant, hands down, and I was happy to return Saturday night for an early dinner and I was as blown away Saturday night as I was for the past 10 years with my spouse. We had the mussels special appetizer and the escargot appetizer. The broth in the mussels was amazing and you just could not help slathering their wonderfully crusty bread into it. The mussels were a very healthy size too. The escargot was also a definite "yes we will absolutely order them again" dish! Moving onto the main course.....could it get any better than the appetizers.....oh my yes!! I had a Cajun Tuna Special which was to die for! I hope they put that on the specials or the regular menu frequently. The quality of the "seared to perfection" tuna was first rate, melted like butter in my mouth. Don't let the "Cajun" fool you, it was not extremely hot or spicy. It was just the perfect touch of heat for all to enjoy. The accompanying soba noodles with vegetables was a truly tasty and perfectly complimenting side dish to the tuna. My friend had The Herb Crusted Alaskan Halibut on the menu and loved it. The fish was so fresh and plentiful and the lobster risotto was a real treat with nice size chucks of lobster. We had "made to perfection" cappuchinos, hot and frothy and only had room for a delicious bowl of vanilla ice cream. Next time, we will have to save more room for dessert lol. Kudos to the chefs at Seagrass!! U have always maintained a top notch, highest quality, gastronomical delight of a restaurant and I am soooo happy to be back!!
