We were going through Lake Charles this week and called Steamboat Bill's to see if they had crawfish. They didn't at that time, but told us that Seafood Palace had them. On a chance, we headed that way on Enterprise St.
When we drove up the parking lot looked pretty full so decided to go in. The place was packed and probably 3/4 of the people there were sucking head and had a heady scent of boiling spices in the air. We wound up getting a bowl of gumbo (great stuff), boudin balls and 2 pounds of crawfish. The bugs were rather small, but very tasty, spicy, and had a lot of fat to them.
If you're in the area, this is a place to try out. Highly recommended
