So, here's the situation. I don't eat smoked salmon or really much of any salmon except for Copper River once a year. But, I'm flying back home to attend a baptism and my brother would like for me to bring some smoked salmon for the brunch they're having.
I haven't a clue what to look for. I happened to be at the U District farmers market last weekend where they have smoked salmon packed in ice for transport but I've also seen the stuff that's vacuum packed that requires no refrigeration until opened. I'm not sure how big a difference the is between these.
Any recommendations for a smoked salmon newbie?
