SEA: Recommendations for cheap dinner downtown on a Friday evening

scarequotes | Nov 14, 200401:35 AM     7

I'm looking for a relatively inexpensive restaurant for dinner on Friday night, either in downtown Seattle or not far away.

Criteria:

Five of us are going for dinner, plus an infant who will likely have dinner but not off the menu.

It's a birthday celebration for one of us.

Two of us (though not me) like very, very non-spicy food, considering black pepper a spice to be avoided if possible.

One of those two is on Atkins, in the lifetime maintenance phase. (Some carbs, prefers meat.)

We'd like the price to be in 5-Spot territory or so -- entrees in the $10-$15 range or lower.

Those of us who have non-spice-phobic palates would enjoy good food. It doesn't have to be fancy -- great burgers would be fine -- but we'd like it to be good.

Any suggestions?
