I am going to Per Se for the first time on this Saturday evening. Here are the basics -
I will be going with a table of four. Most likely nobody at the table will order wine. Our reservation is at 5:45pm. I imagine that we'll all do the nine course menu, maybe one person will want the vegetarian tasting and the other three will want the "regular" tasting menu. It's a birthday celebration so we're not skimping on the $.
Any specific CHOWHOUND thoughts on what to order or to avoid, where to ask to be seated (as we're getting in pretty early for dinner) if we don't like where they initially put us, if any of the cocktails are particularly good, or any other additional thoughts to add to the impact of the evening would be very appreciated.
