SD coming to NYC! (moved from Manhattan)

sabotage | May 23, 2008 10:31 PM

Hey guys coming to NYC in mid June and I could use your expertise. I will be staying in Brooklyn for about a week. here's what i know so far.
Thurs- day game at Yankee Stadium. Looking for a Veal Parm or Meatball hero in the Bronx at a neighborhood standard. After the game we will probably be looking for a bar/pub on the way to our ultimate destination (Brooklyn). Might hit DiFarro's for a late night slice if that is possible. Is it open late and does it serve by the slice?
Fri- Looking for a great bakery in the Brklyn Hts area for breakfast. Prolly pack a lunch for the day, so any creative ideas are welcome, and looking for a nice dinner for around $50 (not including tax, tip, alcohol). Location could be anywhere, but bonus points for being near a cool bar that isn't impossible to get a drink/move on a Friday night. Saturday we'll be doing the Great Urban Race on the upper west side, looking for lunch for less than $20 each. I'd love an ethnic meal Sat night for dinner, possibly Morrocan, Indian, or maybe that dumpling place that Bobby Flay had a throw down at in Brooklyn ($50-70 per person).
Sunday, running a 5 mile race in Central Park then we're gonna try mass at St. Pat's I would like to try and keep it cheap and simple for lunch because Sunday night I'd like to have a special meal at Yasuda with omakase (budgeting $100 each+tip). Although I haven't yet made my reservation for 2. If I cant sit at the bar in front of Yasuda, I will choose a time when I can. Monday, no plans whatsoever. Finally a late night place near MSG for Tuesday night's Pearl Jam show. I would love random advice if you get a feeling of who I am and what I might like from my post.
Thanks so much for your time in advance, and please feel free to PM me for personal attention if you come to San Diego.
