SD: Burgers, Mexican & California Cuisine Suggestions, Please

ethan111 | Apr 17, 201611:19 AM     27

HI San Diego Chowhounders,
My brother and I will be coming to SD for a few days and would like to sample some high caliber food, in a few different neighborhoods. We are looking to have mexican, burgers, and california cuisine (huge fans of Farm Shop in LA, so anything like that would be great). Price is generally not an object, though I would note that fine dining is not preferred and we would definitely check out food trucks / take-away places. Based on the Eater 38 list I found a few contenders but I'd really value this board's advice. As for the neighborhoods, happy to go to other spots, but generally trying to keep things to a manageable / short trip from downtown.

1. Downtown
a. Burgers: http://www.cowboystarsd.com/our-san-d...
b. Mexican: Puesto

2. North Park
a. http://carnitassnackshack.com/menu/
b. Craft Beer: Blind Lady Ale House and Tiger Tiger

3. East Village
a. JSix: California Cuisine... also is the burger any good here? http://www.jsixrestaurant.com/menus/f... (burger)
a. Cafe Chloe -- breakfast?

4. South Park
a. We are not big pizza eaters, but this place looked good. If this is an interesting neighborhood, would love another suggestion?

Thanks for your help! I'll be sure to report back!

Best
Ethan
