I tried to reseason my cast iron skillet and now it's sticky. I've read that this can happen when you use too much oil but I think the culprit is probably that I had the temperature too low. I misread the instructions and had the oven at 350 instead of 450.
So what do I do? Put it back in the oven at a higher heat and, if I do, should I reapply oil first? Do I re-soap before putting it back in the oven? Do I do something else? Any advice would be appreciate.
