Just returned from three nights in Scottsdale. Oh my gosh, the food and the service were awesome!!
First night ate at Roaring Fork, had the pork green chile app and the filet with yummy whiskey sauce and green chile mac and cheese. Mine was great but my husband's chile and sugar seared duck with goat cheese dumplings was to die for! The service was perfect.
Second night, Cinco de Mayo dinner at La Hacendia at the Fairmont Princess. I had rack of lamb with pumpkin seed crust. It was great, friends had the lobster and filet and they loved theirs as well. Bart our waiter was cute and great. Beautiful hotel too!
Last night was by far the best! Cocktails at The Phoenician, wow!! Then the best and least expensive dinner yet at Los Sombreros. Oh my gosh, if you are in Arizona make the trip to Los Sombreros! It was the best meal we have had in a long time. Great inexpensive ritas, amazing Queso Fundido with Chorizo (what was that taste? Maybe nutmeg?)Chicken Mole enchildas and husband had this slow simmered pork with chipolte and tomatillo. Next trip, I would eat there every meal. Thanks to the Chowhounds that recommended the place. Wanted to kiss all of the cooks on the way out.
Stayed at Camelback Inn. What a great place. I hope to return to Scottsdale soon! Thanks to all of the great, professional service people in Scottsdale who make their guests feel special.
