Happy New Year!!!!

Phoenix/scottsdale hounds, I need some help. I was a grad student in the valley (at Thunderbird)and my family has had a house there for years, but I am a bit out of touch with some of the resto sceen. I have done some research on the site. I live in Montreal and will be meeting my girlfriend in the valley for a long weekend...she is from Chicago. I was thinking about Convivo and/or Gregory`s world grill. What are your recs? We do the distance thing, so I`m not really looking for something super-trendy...you know the type of place...large men in small shirts and women in, well, not much. The only other stipulation is that the food can not be spicy...unfortunately she can`t handle it. If you are ever going to be in Park City, UT, Montréal, or Switzerland, I will be happy to help with recs. Thanks for the help and good eats in the new year!!
