I moved to Atlanta about one month ago from California for work and I am loving it here. Finally had time to settle down and now I am looking to find some delicious food. It's my first time to the South (besides Florida but that doesn't count) and I am excited to try quintessential Atlanta / Southern food.
I was wondering if any of you experienced ATL chowhounders could give me some recommendations. I understand that I should use the search option but I was hoping you guys would help me anyways. I am new to the south so I don't know specifically what to look for. Some places I wanted to check out are:
- Busy Bee Cafe
- South City Kitchen
- Gladys Knight's place
I have been to the colonnade and I am hoping there is better fried chicken. I also enjoyed Holeman and Finch. I would appreciate any help on good food. If you have any suggestions on food that's not unique to Atlanta or the south that is fine with me as well!
PS - I will eat anything, and I mean anything at least once
Thanks in advance!
