Check out Schnak at Union and Columbia -- Alan Harding's new greasy spoon with a mid-century vibe. This is a recession-wise joint, with $0.99 schnackies (mini-burgers), cheap french & german beer, artisinal Polish sausage, and many other schnacky snacks...not to mention the awsome giant Carling Black Label mural (with sausage). As the menu says, it's not complicated. Everything we had was tasty; yummy swojska (sausage) on a met hot-dog bun, flavorful schnackies, cheesy grilled cheese. all the topping you could want. They even have $1.50 PBR if you like your water a bit stronger. Definitely strains of the Gawanus Yatch Club filtering through...
My guess is they will be spilling out onto the street when the weather gets better...
