Hi All: well it's just a month till our tour to Scandanavia (it's semi independent though hotels and transport are with a group). I just spen 45 minutes going ALL THE WAY back to 1999 posts on this board looking for Stockholm, Copenhage, Oslo and Bergen and my fingers and eyes got a real workout.(Boy it sure would be easier if the UK and France got separate Boards )Other than Jim Leff's recommendation of a veggie cafeteria and some nice tipsfrom Mike Zeuer who went annually to Stockholm on business, there wasn't much. Oh yes, Marc had a few short ones.
While we'll only have one dinner in Stockholm (but a lunch or too, and only one full day in Oslo, we do have two nights in Copenhagen (one will be Tivoli I'm sure), and two in Bergen.
So, whose got some chowhound ideas. Especially restaurants which are good value as well as good food. And I now know to look for Cloudberry jam in Stockholm. What else do I need to look for in local food?
BTW, I will be going to the Internatiuonal Fancy Food show next week in NY with friends and plan to do a bit of tasting at the Scandanavian places there.
So.. now that I started a new string... PLEASE help!
