Just had lunch at Scala's. Two of us ordered mushroom soup, a salad, and a pasta dish. The soup arrived promptly and was wonderful. Then began a 40 minute wait for the rest of our order. I finally tapped the waitress on the shoulder (since she had her back to us and kept walking right by our table). She said "Oh sometimes orders get blown around in the kitchen and are lost." Of course, she wouldn't have bothered to check if we hadn't asked. Sure enough, that's what happened. I inquired why, if this happens and they know about it, they don't figure out a way to fix it. No response. I asked to see the manager and was told that he is seldom on the floor. They were unable to find him. The food was pretty good but we will not be going back.
