Though I do dearly love a perfect peach, or a perfumed loquat, or those damned-expensive Ranier cherries, I'm really not a sweet-fruit person at heart. When I roll my shopping cart throught the fruit section at my local markets, my eyes glaze over; I might as well be picking greasy auto parts at a junkyard.
Anyway, in the spirit of self-improvement, I've started questioning my bias, and realized that I do indeed love and crave certain fruits: the unsweet ones.
But my list is a short one: avocados, tomatoes, and persimmons.
Any other recommendations (including preparation suggestions) from more wide-ranging palates? What am I missing out on? What do you like? Edumacate me, oh wise ones!
