I belong to a new group that meets monthly for bunco and everyone brings a themed dish to share. This month the theme is chocolate.
We meet at 7 pm. I can't imagine looking at 20 varieties of sweets at that point - I'd be wired for days on sugar if I just tasted a few!
I'm trying to come up with a make ahead savory dish to bring. I'd prefer not to break the bank. My only idea so far is a Mexican inspired rift on turkey meatballs in a mole-ish sauce. I could make them "cocktail" sized and serve from a crockpot. But I'm starting from scratch and have no recipe...
It's a new group so I don't really know the members food quirks. Meat-wise I was leaning towards poultry as the safest option.
Would be very appreciative of your ideas and/or recipes for a dish.
