After a long and arduious search, I think I finally found a great Italian restaurant in Denver.
I went there for lunch a few days ago with a group of co-workers and everyone raved. Two of them had the gnoochi, which one compared to their native Italian mother's recipe. Another two had the grilled chicken sandwiches. One commented that the chicken was fabously marianted. I had breaded chicken with light salad on top, which was excellent. I didn't have a chance to check out the dinner menu, but I'm going back on Saturday to find out. The deserts were also fabulous, and were wonderfully presented.
Saverino is located in the boonies of downtown/Lo-do, but I think it's worth the trip (22nd and Arapahoe). Also, according to the menu, the chef was formely employed by Madonna, Elizabeth Taylor (among others). Hope you enjoy or have enjoyed as much as I did!
