Saved Products & Latest Community Activity Feed

Hi everyone,

Last year we introduced a new "Discussion Summary" module that lives above the comments on discussion pages to highlight the recipe links from other websites being shared by Chowhound members: https://www.chowhound.com/post/save-f... In addition, we added the ability to save these recipes to your Chowhound profile page. Since then, we've seen hundreds of new recipes from across the web saved to Chowhound profiles.

Today, we're introducing two small improvements to expand on this feature set:

1) Saved Products

Discussion Summaries will now include Products shared via links added to the discussion. An example: "Best Non Stick Pan for Eggs that you can use a 'metal utensil' on" https://www.chowhound.com/post/stick-...

Just as we have for recipes, we've added some logic to try to ensure that these links are truly links to cookware and kitchenware being discussed in the community. We'll continue to make this system smarter over time as we have more examples to work with.

2) A New "Latest Community Activity" Feed

This new feed will showcase recently saved recipes and products from across the entire community. We built this feed to help you discover the links that other Chowhounds are sharing without exploring each individual discussion.

If you see something in the feed that catches your eye, you can save it to your profile, or click through to read more in the discussion it was mentioned it.

You can find the new feed at https://www.chowhound.com/latest/acti... or navigate there via clicking on “Latest activity” in the left hand menu of the community.

As always, please feel free to comment or reach out with any questions or concerns.
