Saute - Mesa, AZ

Julie and I decided to try this new restaraunt, that is located in the Dana Park shopping center on the Northwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline. We had a bit of apprehension when the place was very lightly populated, but that conern went away quickly as the wait staff was very friendly. We wanted to eat in the bar area, so we could take in the DBacks as well. I ordered the Salmon Apricot salad and Julie had the Lobster Cream pasta. Both dishes were very well done. I couldn't believe the size of the salmon portion on my salad and the combination of the Apricot vinageratte (sp?) with the mild cheese, salmon, dried apricot pieces and nuts was scrumpcious. I tried a bite of Julie's pasta and it was very good as well. We splurged and split a piece of their Bread Pudding and I am glad we did it was so huge and the taste was huge as well. A warm cream sauce covered it and I must say it was quite a bit better then my home made version.

We will definitley be going back soon.
