Forgive my ignorance please:
My wife had a hand cut filet mignon at an Italian place the other day. I tasted it and it was the best beef I've ever eaten.
I don't eat a lot of beef and did not know what the sauce was that it was plated with. Maybe you can guess.
It tasted as though it was a wine reduction/pan deglaze sauce- perhaps a red wine. I want to try and duplicate it.
